目录简介 | 4 Potassium Permanganate Consumption
4.1 Principles
The potassium permanganate consumption measurement after the specimen has been soaked in the soak solution implies content of soluble organic substance.
4.2 Reagent
4.2.1 Sulphuric acid (1+2)
4.2.2 Standard volumetric solution of potassium permanganate [c(1/5KMnO4)=0.01mol/L].
4.2.3 Standard volumetric solution of oxalic acid[c (1/2H2C2O4·2H2O)=0.01mol/L].
4.3 Analytical procedures
4.3.1 Conical flask treatment: 100mL water shall be adopted in the 250mL conical flask, then add 5mL sulphuric acid (1+2) and 5mL potassium permanganate solution; boil it for 5min before dumped and then wash the conical flask for the next application.
4.3.2 Titration ; Precisely suck 100mL water soak solution (filtration is necessary if residue exists) in the processed 250mL conical flask and then add 5mL sulphuric acid (1+2) as well as 10.0mL standard potassium permanganate volumetric solution (0.01mol/L) and two glass beads; precisely boil it for 5 min and then add 10.0 standard oxalic acid volumetric solution (0.01 mol/L) while it is still hot and finally add in standard potassium permanganate volumetric solution (0.01 mol/L) until the solution becomes reddish color for twice.
Again adopt 100mL water and carry out the reagent blank test according to the method above. |
