PREFIX = ST1 1.0.1 This standard was developed with a view to meet requirements from construction of highway bridges and culverts and ensuring the construction quality.
1.0.2 This standard is applicable to new, reconstructed projects of highway bridges and culverts and the large-sized and medium-sized repair works of highway bridges and culverts can be implemented with a reference to provisions hereof.
1.0.3 The construction works shall be carried out according to related national capital construction procedure. Quality superintendents of the construction organization shall carry out self-checking towards construction works and cooperate with supervising engineers in performing inspection and acceptance of the works after they have been finished.
1.0.4 Before the construction was started, preparation work must be well done and during the course of construction technical disclosure, organization of construction, management work shall be strictly carried out complying with provisions hereof and in related regulations for technical operations.
1.0.5 During the course of construction of bridges and culverts new technologies, new process, new materials and new equipments that are mature and have been approved by competent departments shall be actively promoted to step up the modernization of construction works.
1.0.6 Construction works in bridges and culverts shall be carried out with optimal land use, occupying as little farm land as possible and relevant measures shall be taken according to related national regulations to reduce environmental pollution and protect the environment.
1.0.7 When the construction works have been finished, temporary works, temporary ancillary facilities, temporary ground and waste land shall be treated in time and the sites shall be cleared.
1.0.8 During the course of construction education on safe production shall be conducted and management system be sounded according to regulations on safety operation to ensure civil construction and safe production.
1.0.8 Construction works in highway bridges and culverts shall be implemented complying with provisions in this standard, as well as provisions in current national and professional compulsory standards related.
