1. Scope
This standard provides the sizes, shapes, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, package, marks and quality certificate for steel plates for pressure vessels.

This standard is applicable to the steel plates for pressure parts of pressure vessels in thickness of PREFIX = ST1 6mm-120mm under room temperature.

3. Grade designation
The "R" behind the grade designations refers to the first letter of the Pinyin of "容" in "压力容器", which means pressure vessel.
