For the purpose of this Standard, the following terms and definitions shall apply.
3.1 Vehicle-mounted mobile elevating work platform Equipment of which the base plate of aerial work platform is the stereotype road vehicle and its mobile equipment is operated by the vehicle driver. 3.2 Aerial work platform Equipment used to transport personnel, tools and materials to specified positions for work, including the work platform with controller, stretching structure and base plate. 3.3 Work Platforms Device that carry personnel and materials to use, for example: pipe, basket, frame or other simular device. 3.4 Maximum platform height The maximum vertical distance between the bearing surface of work platform and bearing surface of operating vehicle; 3.5 Miminum working height The minimum vertical distance between the bearing surface of work platform when the work platform is back to the driving state and the bearing surface of operating vehicle; 3.6 Maximum working height The total of the maximum work platform and the height (1.7m) that the operating personnel can reach for safety operation; 3.7 Maximum platform range ability The maximum horizontal distance between the rotation central axis and the outer edge of work platform; 3.8 Maximum working range ability The total of the maximum platform range and the maximum horizontal distance (0.6m) that the operating personnel can reach for safety operation; 3.9 Rated load The maximum load mass that the work platform can carry.
4. Classification
4.1 Type The vehicle-mounted mobile work platform is divided into the following types according to the type of stretching structure, see Table1 and the Figure 1.
